Cattail Harvest at the Museum
July 22, 2015 at 11:30 am
Join Joey Holmes for the Cattail Harvest of the Suquamish Museum Ponds.
Gather in the Lawrence Webster Education Auditorium for Bella Luna Pizza and an overview of the days activity. Watch a demonstration of how to harvest a cattail and choose your role in the harvest. The Museum ponds support a variety of plants that in turn attract a vast array of animal life. Wear sturdy shoes that can get wet and comfortable clothes that will get dirty! Enjoy the day out among nature!
Look for the follow-up workshop on next quarter's calendar when participants will help construct Cattail Mats from this years harvest.
